Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s anger has subsided and there are indications that he will attend the coronation ceremony of state Congress President Navjat Singh Sidhu tomorrow. Four newly appointed working presidents of Punjab Congress will also take charge in this function. He was invited by the newly appointed working presidents and party leaders to attend the function. Chief Minister’s media advisor Raveen Thukral has confirmed Captain Amarinder’s participation in the ceremony. Congress’s Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat has also reached Chandigarh to attend the function.

Five Congress leaders including newly appointed Punjab Congress Working President Kuljit Nagra and Sangat Singh Giljian today handed over an invitation letter signed by 57 MLAs and Punjab Youth Congress President Barinder Singh Dhillon to the Chief Minister. On seeing the invitation letter, the Chief Minister agreed to attend the function. Industries Minister Shyam Sundar Arora, MLA Raminder Amla and former MLA Ashwini Sekhdi were also present on the occasion.

In this, he said, the Chief Minister has invited all the MLAs, MPs and senior leaders for tea at Punjab Bhawan. From here everyone will go to Congress Bhavan to join the installation of the new team of PPCC. Although he has not named Navjot Sidhu in this, but it is believed that the differences between Sidhu and Captain can end tomorrow only over tea.
