Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday announced a financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the family of constable Maruprolu Jaswant Reddy, who lost his life during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the bravery of the jawan who died for the country and said that Reddy’s martyrdom is a matter of pride. CM Reddy also directed the officials to extend all possible help to the family of Bahadur, who hails from Guntur district of the state.
The CM was on a tour of Kadapa district when he came to know about Reddy’s sacrifice. Let us tell you that on Thursday, two Pakistani terrorists were killed by the Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, thwarting a major infiltration bid. A defense spokesperson said that two soldiers, including Reddy and Naib Subedar Sreejith M, were killed in the encounter with the terrorists.
