AIMIM will field candidates for 100 seats in Uttar Pradesh, form issued for those who want to get tickets

Buoyed by its success in the Bihar assembly elections, AIMIM has announced that it will field candidates for 100 seats in the next year’s Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi said that his party will contest the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in alliance with the Partnership Sankalp Morcha. Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SUBHSP) President Om Prakash Rajbhar is the convener of this front. Hyderabad MP Owaisi, who usually communicates in English, gave this information by tweeting in Hindi.

Owaisi wrote, ‘In the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, we have decided to field candidates on 100 seats. The party has started its process. Forms have also been issued for those who want to get tickets in this regard. Another tweet read, ‘We are with OP Rajbhar Sahib’s Partnership Sankalp Morcha. Till now we have not talked for alliance with any other party.

It is noteworthy that the assembly elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh in the beginning of the year 2022. In the Bihar assembly elections last year, AIMIM had fielded candidates for 20 seats in the Muslim-majority Seemanchal region adjoining Bengal, out of which it won five.
