Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s stand on the matter of violence and indecency during the nomination for the block chief election in Uttar Pradesh is very serious. In the case of indecency with a woman proposer in Lakhimpur Kheri, CM Yogi Adityanath has directed to suspend the station in-charge along with the CO.
CM Yogi Adityanath, in a review meeting with Team-09 on Friday, called for a report on violence and indecency in the districts during the nomination of the block chief election on Thursday. After this, CM Yogi Adityanath took a tough stand in the matter. He has directed to suspend the jurisdictional officer and the station in-charge for indecency with a woman’s proposal in Lakhimpur. Not only this, he has also directed strict action against other police officers present on the spot for being negligent. Along with this, all the accused have been asked to take strict action. He says that under no circumstances even a single attempt to spoil the atmosphere will be accepted.
On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, CO Mohammadi Abhay Pratap Mall and Pasgwan SHO Adarsh Kumar along with another inspector and three inspectors have been suspended. By registering an FIR in the case, the police have arrested one of the accused. DM Dr. Arvind Kumar Chaurasia has also ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that in the election of the block chief, the police force everywhere should be prepared with extra vigilance and sensitivity. Necessary action should be taken by confiscating the weapons of those demonstrating arms etc. anywhere. The Chief Minister said that after the Zilla Panchayat, now the Block Chief election process should be conducted peacefully. During this time, in the districts from where the untoward incident has been reported, immediate action should be taken against the responsible officers posted at the spot and the people who disturb the atmosphere, with a policy of zero tolerance.
